WHO: Are the Nolls?

They are missionaries with GAiN (Global Aid Network) which is a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ.

Aron studied Sociology and Communications in college, and structured his classes after USC's Documentary Film degree. He also has a Masters Degree in Intercultural Studies from Western Seminary.

Yvonne studied Religion with an emphasis in Missions in college and was an administrative assistant for OHSU, one of the countries largest hospital and educational health systems, and is an incredible wife, mom, production manager and cook! They were married on June 19, 1999 and have a son and daughter and one on the way.

WHAT: Do they do?

They produce documentary films that are used to raise funds to provide medecine, build houses, thanks donors, feed people and do evangelism projects, etc. They also participate in the projects too! Their work involves research, directing, shooting, producing and editing the documentaries. You can see the videos here on our website: www.TheNolls.net

WHEN and WHERE: Do they do what they do?

Whenever and wherever there is a situations like, war, extreme poverty or natural disasters GAiN pulls together teams of people to deliver food, build houses and share their faith. The Noll's go and participate with the project and investigate the findings and tell the story on video.

WHY: Do they do what they do?

Both Aron and Yvonne reached a point in their lives where they realized that God loved them and had a great plan for their lives (John 3:16 and 10:10). They realized that their selfish and angry attitude towards God in their lives was stopping them from that plan (Romans 3:23 and 6:23). When they realized that Jesus offered them hope (Romans 5:8) they responded (Ephesians 2:8-9) and their anger towards God melted. Their response is to stop living for their own selfish desires, which will eventually come to an end when they die, and serve God with their skills and help the people on earth that need it the most. We have included the references to the Bible so you can follow our experience from God's perspective and have this same life with God too!

HOW: Do they do what they do?

The Noll's work exists because friends, family and churches give $4 to $350 a month to help the Noll's with their expenses. Campus Crusade has no central funds to pay salaries so the Noll's depend upon people to assist in the ministry work. Campus Crusade pays for the trips that the Noll's go on and for their production expenses too. Financing work like this is directed by God in the Bible in examples like the Levites who lived from the offerings that the Jews brought to the Temple and the Apostle Paul who directed the churches to give money to help people and share the message of hope in Jesus. Business ventures function this way too. In Aron's line of work people raise funds to produce films that entertain the masses. Why not invest in films that make a difference in people's lives here on earth today and show them the message of eternal hope in Jesus.

Misc Questions:

Q: What is your doctrinal position?

If you require a doctrinal statement please ask and we will provide you with one.
Q: Am I just a photographer or is that a tool for the cause of Christ?
My video camera is God's chosen instrument for me to use as a worshipper for this time in life that I will willingly put down at any moment to serve Him in any other way that He chooses. (Also answered more below)

Q: Is that my passion and how do you achieve your passion?
I serve with the best technical skills that I have obtained up to this point in my life.

Q: Where is the Gospel?
I am prepared in season and out of season to speak the Gospel and live the Gospel...I entered into this ministry under the threat of being taken to a prison in a hostile country where we were sent to share the Gospel through word and deed. We endured, survived and passed the test because of the Gospel. Sometimes I do the Gospel and sometimes I speak the Gospel, sometimes I pray, sometimes I worship, most of the time I share the stories that we are all allowing God to use us to tell, and I always submit and follow no matter how hard or how long the process takes. I try to listen or read the Bible everyday but mostly try to listen for what the Holy Spirit is trying to teach me through His word every day. It is more important for me at this point in my life to listen to what God is saying to me specifically through the Bible than it is for me to memorize and just process the Bible like a "Good Christian" who is trying to get his quota met. I try to listen for the still small voice in the Bible that is speaking something specific to me at that specific time...like listening to a friend that wants to tell you something important.

I don't always preach to my friends...in fact I have alot of friends who I have worked with that might or might not be Christians or might or might not be saved or even know that I am a Christian but I lived my life in front of them and tried to make myself available to them in their times of needs...some of them have asked me questions about God or Church...sometimes I tried to answer them correctly...sometimes I probably failed altogether...but I have tried to be sensitive to what God was telling me that I needed to do or who I needed to be for that person at that specific time... hopefully some people were and are able to see that a Christian and specifically Jesus accepts them for who they are and that He created them and loves them and that He has a plan for their lives and that Christians don't always have to hammer people over the head with Bible verses but the true love of Jesus as well as His sometimes hard words can come through and help them grow closer to who God created them to be.

Q: How do we see the Kingdom being impacted?

I believe that Jesus is who he says He is in the Bible as seen in the Old and New Testament that my life is a living letter open to the world for them to see His works in my life and that they can have His eternal life as well. It isn't easy to follow Jesus and in fact takes everything that you have here on earth to do and often times will leave you ostracized from friends and family and without any earthly goods for a reward but the rewards are eternal and the earthly loss is worth it. Im am far from perfect and have been caught in ruts of complacency or disobedience from time to time in my walk and not proud of my times of immaturity but am proud of the love of God that has carried me through to maturity. I intend on finishing this race in life and appearing before Jesus having become all that He intended me to become. I may face some loss at that time but with everything in me from this point on press on to please Him. This is the attitude with which the Kingdom of God around me is impacted. I love God and I know that the joy of the Lord is my strength. I know that in everything I do God will be honored and people will see and know that He is real and people will and do ask why I do what I do.

Q: Are you just a video producer?
I can definitely say that God has called me to be MORE than just a video producer who has had training working on feature films with distribution from well known distributors and exposure in an international film festival, MORE than a video shooter who has worked for professional sports teams including side by side shooting experience with baseball stars who were in the world series, MORE than just a missionary, MORE than just a student who graduated with honors from my undergraduate school debt free as well as graduate school degree that was paid for by emptying garbage of professors and delivering and their mail to them, MORE than a husband of a beautiful wife from a multigenerational Christian family and a father of 3, MORE than a former director of a ministry house, MORE than a musician who wrote his own music and played before thousands of people in the former soviet union...I AM MORE THAN A CONQUEROR THROUGH JESUS CHRIST WHO SAVES ME...I AM MORE THAN A VIDEO PRODUCER...I AM A FRIEND AND FOLLOWER OF JESUS...I AM A DOER OF THE WORD...I AM ONE WHO LIVES ON GOD'S DAILY MANNA...I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR MY WIFE, FAMILY AND FRIENDS...I CAN DO NOTHING UNLESS I SEE THE FATHER DOING IT. I NEED NO MAN'S APPROVAL BUT THE APPROVAL OF JESUS YET I SUBMIT MYSELF TO ALL MEN SO THAT I MAY BE HUMBLE AND USED BY GOD TO WIN PEOPLE TO HIMSELF AND IN THE END I WILL LAY DOWN MY LIFE AND NOT PICK IT BACK UP AGAIN BECAUSE JESUS HAS THE KEY TO MY HEART AND WITHOUT HIM I AM NOTHING.
